(Patria) - Golden State Warriors player Draymond Green has been suspended for attacking Bosnian national team player Jusuf Nurkić during the match on Tuesday night into Wednesday.
Green slapped Nurkić on the court, was ejected, and the NBA league handed him an indefinite suspension.
Journalist Adrian Wojnarowski writes that Green will also be given a chance for counseling, meaning the indefinite suspension is an opportunity for the player to deal with the challenges he faces, reports Faktor.
- I don't know what's wrong with him. I think that guy needs help. I'm glad he didn't try to choke me. That has nothing to do with basketball - said Nurkić after the match between the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors.
- I never apologize for things I intended to do, but I apologize to Jusuf for this. I didn't mean to hit him. I wanted to draw a foul because he grabbed my hip and I swung my arm. Unfortunately, I hit him - said Green.
