FK Željezničar fans: Our brother Mirza Raščić was the bright side of BiH reality

Following the brutal murder of Mirza Raščić, a fan of the Football Club Željezničar, the Association of FK Željezničar Fans TM 1987 issued a press release.

- The Association of Football Club Željezničar Fans TM1987 and the fan group Manijaci wish to inform the public in this difficult moment that our brother from the stands tragically lost his life last night in the premises of the Association. While the authors of this notice write in disbelief, a text resulting from the relentless media contact with individuals and members of the fan group seeking information about the case itself, we want to inform you that Mirza Raščić was the bright side of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian reality.

Mirza was a 1/1 fan: he was always first in organizing the fan stand, first to wave the flag, first to pay for his away trips, first to respond to humanitarian actions, first to prepare his documents for traveling to Željo's matches abroad, a fan, like any other, who lit flares and paid the fines he received for doing so.

He was the first smile of the South Stand, and last night he found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Mirza worked and paid for his ticket, Mirza worked and paid for his away trips, Mirza worked and paid for his coffee in the café, Mirza worked and paid for his beer in the restaurant. Mirza was an excellent guy. Mirza was a participant in the Peace March in Srebrenica, a participant in the aid action for areas affected by last year's floods, an activist in collecting aid for persons with special needs at the Home in Pazarić.

Just last night, while Mirza and his colleagues were working on organizing the travel of FK Željezničar fans to the away match in Vitez, he was treacherously and cold-bloodedly killed. Our task is to preserve the name of Mirza Raščić as a shining example of today's man and to help his mother and sister in the best possible way. Therefore, we call on all people to help us in this, according to their abilities. Mirza Raščić, our brother - the statement reads.

The funeral prayer for Mirza Raščić will be held tomorrow (18.4.2015.) at 2:00 PM at the Vlakovo cemetery.
