Work Continues on KJKP Toplane-Sarajevo's Most Demanding Projects

(Patria) - In accordance with the dynamic plans of KJKP "Toplane-Sarajevo" d.o.o., work is underway on capital projects. The most technically demanding work on dismantling old equipment has been completed on the largest project in the last 20 years, "Reconstruction of the Zvijezda boiler room", which involved technically the most complex operations of removing and hauling away old boilers and burners, heat exchangers, and other equipment.

Following the successfully completed dismantling work, activities related to the transport, bringing in, and positioning of new boilers have also been completed. The dismantling, bringing in, and positioning of new boilers were carried out using a heavy-duty crane and a specially designed steel platform for equipment intake, given that the "Zvijezda" boiler room location is very challenging for handling bulky equipment.

In the upcoming period, construction work on the facility's renovation, as well as mechanical and electrical work on installing the new equipment, will follow.

In addition to the complete reconstruction project of the "Zvijezda" boiler room, KJKP "Toplane-Sarajevo" d.o.o. is also carrying out work on another capital project, "Reconstruction of the Branka Blažek boiler room", which includes the replacement of burners and the installation of a hydraulic optimization system for the plant's operation. This work is also proceeding according to schedule.

Work is also underway on the implementation of a SCADA system in facilities that were not connected to the fully renovated command center system.

Preparatory work is also in progress for the replacement of the main heating pipeline of the "Hrasno" boiler room, approximately 600 meters in length.
All these projects represent the modernization of the stability and safety system in the production and supply of thermal energy to users. All work on the aforementioned projects will be completed by the beginning of the heating season in accordance with the Decree on General Conditions for the Production, Supply, and Use of Thermal Energy.
