(Patria) - The average retail price of premium unleaded gasoline 95 is higher by 0.01 KM per liter today compared to the previous day, while the average retail price of diesel has increased by 0.02 KM per liter compared to yesterday.
Out of the total number of OPC and OPM forms (price and margin change notifications) submitted by gas stations to the Federal Ministry of Trade (FMT) in the period from February 28 to April 2 this year, 8080 relate to diesel, while 3812 relate to premium unleaded gasoline 95.
In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Decision on prescribing immediate price control measures by determining the maximum margin for oil derivatives is still in force, which prescribes a maximum margin of 0.06 KM per liter of derivative in absolute terms for legal entities engaged in wholesale trade, while for legal entities engaged in retail trade of oil derivatives, the maximum margin is prescribed in the absolute amount of 0.25 KM per liter of derivative.
Control over the application of the aforementioned Decision is carried out continuously by federal and cantonal market inspectors as long as it is in force, and all market inspectors from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have access to the data received by the Federal Ministry of Trade.
The focus of the inspection supervision is on controlling wholesale and retail price calculations, i.e., on controlling the formation of prices prescribed by immediate price control measures.
The Federal Ministry of Trade (FMT) also notes that in order to provide comprehensive and timely information on retail prices of oil derivatives at gas stations in the Federation of BiH, the ministry installed a free mobile application for citizens called "FMT FBiH oil info" back in June 2019.
Downloading this application is available through the Google Play service for mobile phones with the Android operating system, and for Apple, iPhone, and iPad mobile devices, the application can be downloaded directly from the App Store service, as well as via a link or by scanning a QR code, which are specifically placed on the website of the Federal Ministry of Trade: www.fmt.gov.ba.
The application also provides users with the ability to report certain irregularities at gas stations, which greatly contributes to their easier resolution, according to FMT.
