(Patria) - The average retail price of unleaded gasoline 95 on March 23 is higher by 0.01 KM/l compared to March 22, while the average retail price of diesel has increased by 0.02 KM/l.
According to data from the Federal Ministry of Trade, the average retail price of oil derivatives in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from February 28 to March 23 has increased by 25 feninga for unleaded gasoline 95, and on March 23 it amounts to 2.57 KM/l, while diesel has increased by 88 feninga and its price now amounts to 3.23 KM/l.
In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Decision on prescribing immediate price control measures by determining the maximum margin for oil derivatives is still in force, which prescribes a maximum margin of 0.06 KM/liter of derivatives in absolute terms for business entities engaged in wholesale trade, while for business entities engaged in retail trade of oil derivatives, the maximum margin is prescribed in the absolute amount of 0.25 KM/liter of derivatives.
Control over the application of the aforementioned Decision is carried out continuously by federal and cantonal market inspectors as long as it is in force. All market inspectors from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have access to the data received by the Federal Ministry of Trade.
The focus of the inspection supervision is on controlling the calculations of wholesale and retail prices, i.e., on controlling the formation of prices prescribed by immediate price control measures.
As stated in the announcement, in order to provide comprehensive and timely information on retail prices at gas stations in the Federation of BiH, the Federal Ministry of Trade installed a free mobile application for citizens called “FMT FBiH oil info“ in June 2019.
Downloading this application is available through the Google Play service for mobile phones with the Android operating system, and for Apple, iPHONE and iPAD mobile devices, downloading the application is available directly on the App Store service, as well as via a link or by scanning a QR code, which are specifically placed on the website of the Federal Ministry of Trade: www.fmt.gov.ba.
The application also provides users with the option to report certain irregularities at gas stations, which greatly contributes to their easier elimination, the Federal Ministry of Trade states.
