Search for missing persons continues in the Jablanica and Konjic areas

(Patria) - Specialist rescue teams continue the search for missing persons in the Konjic and Jablanica areas. In addition to domestic teams, teams from neighboring countries are also on the ground.

A large number of volunteers are also engaged in both municipalities, helping with the delivery of food, medicine and other necessities, the Operations Center of the Civil Protection of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton announced.

The containers that arrived in the Konjic area are being placed in designated safe locations for the accommodation of those affected. The supply of food, medicine and basic necessities is proceeding normally.

With the help of heavy machinery, work is underway to repair the regional road Ostrožac – Parsovići – Fojnica (R437). The rehabilitation of local roads Buturović Polje – Seonica – Višnjevice, Kralupi – Trešnjevice will take a longer time, it is stated.

According to information from the Jablanica Operations Center, the supply of electricity is still interrupted in some areas of the municipality, and work is being done to repair the faults.

The same is the case with the water supply, mobile and fixed telephony.

Road communication with neighboring municipalities, as well as with some settlements in the area of the Jablanica municipality, is interrupted.

Also, work is underway on the repair and cleaning of roads.
