Our Party: We insist on banning genocide denial

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Our Party MP in the previous convocation of the Federal Parliament, Dennis Gratz, submitted a Draft Law on the prohibition of denial, minimization, justification, or approval of the Holocaust, genocide, and crimes against humanity to the parliamentary procedure.

The House of Representatives adopted it on February 23, 2016. However, it never appeared on the agenda of the House of Peoples, primarily thanks to the obstruction of HDZ, Our Party announced on Tuesday.

The statement states that Our Party MPs in both houses of the Federal Parliament will insist that the Draft Law be placed on the agenda of the House of Peoples as soon as possible.

Our Party assesses as shameful the fact that almost a quarter of a century after the genocide in Srebrenica, there is no law in BiH that would prohibit the denial of genocide, while they view the obstruction of its adoption as genocide denial.
