National Theatre Sarajevo soon with a new facade, and other theatres with new audio/video equipment

(Patria) - A new facade and carpentry on the building of the National Theatre, as well as the procurement of audio/video equipment for Chamber Theatre 55, Youth Theatre, SARTR and the National Theatre are the best confirmation that culture is one of the primary strategic commitments of the Government of Sarajevo Canton.

The Ministry of Culture of SC has created the largest budget ever for this year, and a special item is 16 million KM for the improvement of the infrastructure of cultural institutions in the Canton.

"This week, together with the President of the Trade Union, Admir Šuvalić, I signed the text of the Collective Agreement on amendments to the Collective Agreement for the cultural sector in Sarajevo Canton. This agreement provides for an increase in the salaries of cultural employees in the Canton. The agreed increase is not linear, and the coefficients for each job position have been increased, with lower coefficients growing by a larger percentage and higher coefficients by a smaller percentage," said Prime Minister Nihad Uk.

Parallel to other activities, Prime Minister Uk and the Minister of Culture and Sports, Kenan Magoda, are visiting cultural institutions in Sarajevo Canton and discussing with their leaders ways to improve working conditions.
