Kakanj 1 Toll Station to be Electronic Toll Collection Only from Tomorrow

(Patria) - The Kakanj 1 toll station (Papratnica - exit for TE Kakanj) will be exclusively for electronic toll collection from tomorrow.

Kakanj 1 is the first toll station where the Only ACC TAG system will be implemented.

An analysis of the operations of toll stations on the FBiH motorways has shown that Kakanj 1 is a toll station with a higher number of users who use electronic toll collection, while the total number of vehicles at the toll is relatively small, around 16,000 vehicles per month, of which about 9,000 vehicles use electronic toll collection.

Exits made via TAG devices account for about 52.43% on an annual basis, with a tendency for the share of electronic collection to increase, and manual collection to stagnate.

The introduction of the Only ACC TAG system aims primarily to raise user awareness about the advantages of electronic motorway payment (faster vehicle flow and a 20% bonus on each user deposit).

In addition to the above, the introduction of the Only ACC TAG system will lead to a reduction in operating costs while maintaining the standards of toll station usage.

In the coming period, JP Autoceste FBiH will continue to analyze other toll stations to check the possibility of switching to the aforementioned Only ACC TAG system.

Motorway users who do not wish to use electronic toll collection can still use the Kakanj toll station or the Visoko toll station instead of the Kakanj 1 toll station.
