After being last in the first run in Chamonix, he celebrated in the end!

(Patria) - Swiss Daniel Yule celebrated in the Chamonix slalom as part of the World Cup, in a race that will forever be etched in the history of alpine skiing.

Yule achieved his seventh career victory in an unbelievable way – for the first time in history, a competitor finished 30th after the first run and ended up in first place.

Previously, Lucas Brothen moved up from 30th to second place, and Yule has now written himself into the history books.

Warm weather, ten degrees, soft snow, and complicated conditions all contributed to no one being able to dethrone Yule, along with his excellent run, of course.

Second place went to his compatriot Loic Meiar, 16 hundredths of a second behind, and third was Clément Noël – the leader after the first run – 18 hundredths behind.

With a 34 hundredths deficit, Manuel Feller was fourth, and the third sector was his undoing; he lost a significant lead there, as did many others.

Raschner and Kristoffersen follow. Croatian Samuel Kolega achieved a career-best result in seventh place, and the top 10 are completed by Haugan, Amiez, and Vinatzer.

In the slalom standings, Feller is first with 490 points, Linus Strasser is second with 326, and Yule is third with 285.

In the overall standings, Marco Odermatt leads with 1,406 points, Cyprien Sarazzin is second with 684, and Feller is third with 609.
