After failed session: Smajić calls on Schmidt to abolish salary funding for SNSD and HDZ delegates for not showing up to work

(Patria) - Delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament (PSBiH) Džemal Smajić (SBiH) believes that the absence of delegates from SNSD and HDZ BiH at the session of that house today has once again shown all their arrogance and behavior in the PSBiH.

- Unfortunately, we can only state that all hope for the integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards the European path was definitively lost today, given that European laws marked with EI were also on the agenda - Smajić told reporters in Sarajevo.

- We are returning to the very beginning of government formation in 2023, when the Trojka parties naively chose SNSD and Milorad Dodik as partners in government, whom we all knew, except for them, were brakes on the European path and that they would do nothing to integrate BiH into the EU - states Smajić.

According to him, it took the Trojka parties three years to realize this, and "we warned about it earlier". Smajić believes that, as things stand, this situation will remain until October 2026, when elections will be held in our country.

- As for these eight delegates in the House of Peoples of the PSBiH, we will not stop, we will continue to schedule sessions and ask everyone to come to the sessions - Smajić announced.

Finally, he appealed to the High Representative Christian Schmidt to find a way to stop the funding, i.e., abolish the salaries of all delegates who do not attend the sessions of the House of Peoples and come to work in the PSBiH.
