(Patria) - Disturbances were recorded in Stolac tonight, related to the painting of graffiti at the roundabout at the entrance to this town.
According to unofficial information, fan groups participated in the conflict.
It all started yesterday when murals glorifying Croatia, Vukovar, and some other symbols appeared at the roundabout.
While the murals were being painted, the roundabout was blocked for a long time, and flares were lit.
Today, there was a counter-reaction from the Bosniaks of Stolac, who placed their murals there along with the flags of the Republic of BiH.
"Stolac - This will never be an enemy land," reads the graffiti, below which the inscription RA'81 (Red Army) can be seen.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton confirmed that public order and peace were disturbed on a larger scale.
"Police officers went to the scene and took measures and actions within their jurisdiction," spokesperson of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Ilijana Miloš, told Bljesak.info.
As she pointed out, the situation is under control and police supervision.
"More information will be available tomorrow," Miloš emphasized.
