At least 176 UNRWA staff killed in Gaza

(Patria) - At least 176 members of the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Middle East (UNRWA) have been killed in the Gaza Strip since October 2023.

The agency announced on the X platform that several members were killed while on duty and that the number of humanitarian workers killed in Gaza is higher than in any other conflict.

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said on March 24 that Israeli authorities had informed the UN that they would no longer allow the agency's humanitarian aid convoys to enter northern Gaza.
