Strongest Man in BiH to Defend Country's Colors in Novi Sad on May 9

The strongest man in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Adin Arnaut, will defend our country's colors at the competition of the world's strongest men, which will be held in Novi Sad on May 9 this year, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

The competition in Novi Sad is one of the most demanding competitions in the so-called Strongman Champions League, which gathers the world's strongest men, and the organizer is Ervin Katona, the strongest Serbian and the strongest man in the Champions League.
Katona holds the Guinness World Record in the Ramp discipline (lifting 2 cars weighing 1,000 kg each at a 15-degree incline for 1.02 minutes).

Adin Arnaut from Sarajevo told the Patria agency that he hopes for good results in Novi Sad, as he has been training hard for this competition.

- I want to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina well. I expect good results in Serbia – says Arnaut, who is the only athlete in BiH who professionally engages in this extreme sport.

Arnaut achieved his best results in 2013 in China, when he placed in the top 15 strongest men in the world out of 32 countries. It was his first encounter with the world's strongest men, but more than successful. In the discipline of pulling a 38-ton truck, Arnaut achieved the best results. The BiH flag circled the entire world.

In Novi Sad, Arnaut will compete in several disciplines. Among them are carrying suitcases weighing 360 kg, pulling a truck or bus weighing 25 tons, lifting a stone ball weighing 160 kg, lifting a car weighing 1,700 kg, and several other demanding disciplines.

- This sport is extreme. If you are not prepared or if you are not careful, you can get injured or even die – says Arnaut.

Despite achieving great results, Arnaut does not have the support of any state institution in the country. His strenuous training and travel to competitions are financed by his friends, writes Patria.
