PRECIPITATION FORECASTED KJKP Rad Ends Winter Maintenance Season: Citizens, Prepare Shovels Just in Case!

(Patria) - New snowfall is forecasted in Bosnia and Herzegovina starting Thursday, and a cold wave will persist for several days. Ahead of the weather change, KJKP Rad issued a statement. They note that the winter maintenance season ended on March 15.

"In accordance with current meteorological forecasts, we are facing a period of pronounced weather instability that could significantly impact the daily functioning of traffic and utility systems. The forecasted precipitation, temperature drop, and snowfall in higher areas require increased caution from all traffic participants, as well as adaptation of activities to weather conditions.

With the end of the official winter maintenance season (November 15 – March 15), planned activities aimed at ensuring the passability and safety of roads and public areas under winter precipitation and low temperatures have been concluded. During the mentioned period, all measures were implemented in accordance with applicable operational plans and defined responsibilities.

At the same time, it is important to emphasize that the duration of the winter season represents a normative standard, but not a strict operational limitation. In the event of adverse weather conditions that may occur before or after the established period, there is a possibility of earlier activation or extension of the winter service engagement. Such activities are carried out exclusively with prior approval from the competent investor, thereby ensuring institutional coordination and legality of actions," KJKP Rad states.

Given that KJKP Rad did not distinguish itself during the January snowfall either, citizens should this time be prepared and take up shovels as needed.
