Cold April Announced: Heating Plants Can Heat Until May 20

Although meteorological conditions for April are not encouraging with expected lower temperatures of air up to 10 degrees Celsius and variable weather, the good news is that the heating season in Sarajevo Canton can be extended beyond April 15, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

According to KJKP Toplane, the heating season is defined by the Decision on general conditions for the production, supply, and use of thermal energy.

- The heating season begins when the average daily outdoor air temperature, according to meteorological service data, is below or equal to +12 C for two consecutive days, and no later than October 15, and ends under the same temperature conditions, and no earlier than April 15, with all heating plants being operationally ready in the period from September 20 to May 20 - state Toplane.

This means that if the air temperature is below 12 degrees Celsius for two consecutive days, Toplane will continue heating. In KS, there are 53,000 central heating users in the Toplane system.
