Municipal Mayor Musić for Patria: Sana and Sanica rising, buildings not threatened, forecast favourable so we expect stabilisation!

(Patria) - The water levels of the Sana and Sanica rivers in the Ključ municipality area have unfortunately risen significantly in the last 24 hours, and at this moment we have a severed road connection to the local community of Humići, and the same situation exists in the area of the local community of Dubočani, states the report of Ključ Mayor Jasmin Musić for the Patria Agency.

“It is important to emphasise that residential and commercial buildings are still out of danger, meaning the water levels do not threaten them. The fact is that rain is still falling at this moment, but hydrometeorological forecasts indicate that precipitation should weaken during the day, and there should be none during the night, which gives us reason to believe we could move towards stabilisation,” adds Musić.

As he says, Civil Protection services are continuously in the field.

“We are working on setting up embankments and flood defence where needed, in cooperation with the service for cleaning and terrain remediation. I want to praise our fellow citizens who are serious and responsible. This is the second time in less than 90 days that we face serious challenges with weather disasters; not much time has passed since we had a state of natural disaster due to snow, but I believe that in this situation we will not have to declare a state of emergency and that in the next 24 hours we will have a much better situation,” explained Musić.
