Mayor Memić to Ilidža residents: Stay home, let's be responsible, this will pass!

SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Senaid Memić, addressed the residents of Ilidža regarding the current situation and based on expert advice.

"We ask you to accept the current situation as extremely dangerous and risky. We call for rational behavior, do not let panic and nervousness control you, and we ask you to strictly follow the recommendations of responsible headquarters and individuals. After the appearance of infection cases in our area, we call on everyone who has had contact and assumes they have had contact with infected individuals to go into absolute isolation and, within their capabilities, reduce contact even with their own families, especially with children and the elderly, and to inform the competent municipal and medical services that they have taken isolation measures (quarantine).

Stop engaging in all forms of social contact and do not attend funerals or any gatherings, regardless of the infection status. If you are able, stop all personal contact to help break the chain of geometric progression in the spread of infection. Conduct contacts from home via phone, internet, and email. We ask for your patience if you have certain problems in organizing your lives, as we are trying, in the absence of equipment and resources, to reach a level where we can help everyone reduce the danger.

The situation with the spread of the disease depends on each individual, and if we have lapses (like on 24.03.2020, Health Center) we will prolong the illness, increase the number of infected, and cause irreparable damage. In what we are asking of you, accept that requests for attention and seriousness are also orders to undertake, within capabilities and beyond, everything that will help the population.
