(Patria) - Due to heavy rainfall that hit the Sanski Most area, there has been a rapid rise in the water levels of rivers and streams, and competent municipal services warn that the situation could worsen further in the coming hours.
It was announced by the Municipality of Sanski Most last night that the watercourses have already swollen, and there is an increased risk of flooding and further damage in certain locations. The Trnova–Medenjak area has been identified as a particularly risky zone, where bank erosion has already been recorded.
Citizens have been urged to exercise maximum caution, with clear recommendations not to approach riverbeds and banks, to avoid moving near swollen watercourses, and not to cross bridges and roads that are submerged. Furthermore, regular monitoring of official information from competent services is advised.
Competent services are on the ground and continuously monitoring the development of the situation, and the Municipality emphasizes that responsible citizen behaviour is key to preventing potential unwanted consequences.
