At Slovenia's Request and Behind Closed Doors: UN Security Council Consultations on the Situation in BiH

(Patria) - At the request of Slovenia, consultations on the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be held in the United Nations (UN) Security Council on Friday, N1 has learned from diplomatic sources.

In agreement with other European countries, Slovenia requested this meeting, which will be held behind closed doors, due to the recent unconstitutional moves by the RS leadership and concerns about the situation in BiH.

As learned, numerous meetings are also held daily with representatives of member states, in coordination with the European Union and the United Kingdom.

Let us recall, consultations behind closed doors were also held on March 6, following the efforts of RS President Milorad Dodik and BiH Presidency Chair Željka Cvijanović to initiate a formal session of the UN Security Council on the situation in BiH with the support of Russian diplomats.

However, these efforts did not result in the expected outcome, so a different format of meeting was held – informal consultations.
