What will the BiH Public Service look like: BHRT to cancel 15 shows starting Monday, 'Morning for All' shortened to two hours

(Patria) - The BHRT Collegium, consisting of General Director Belmin Karamehmedović and program editors, has decided that starting Monday, May 27, some shows will be removed from BHT's program, and some will be shortened.

The Patria News Agency announced this possibility on Thursday, and we have now received confirmation that there will be changes in the program schedule.

One of the most watched shows, 'Morning for All,' will last two hours instead of three, from 7 to 9 AM, due to resource issues.

The following shows have been removed from the program: Benjamin Butković's One (Interview), Countdown, Paths of Health, New Adventure, domestic documentary program, Draft, Thinking Box, Art Depot, My Country, DVS - Cannes Film Festival, Identities, Global, Finally Friday with Maja Miralem, Inbox, Trend.

Therefore, starting Monday, the Public Radio-Television Service of Bosnia and Herzegovina will not fulfill its legal obligation regarding program content.

What is devastating is that the hosts and journalists who worked on the shows being removed from the program do not know if they should come to work on Monday, if they will be reassigned, or what they will be doing.

The difficult financial situation of BHRT is most felt by the employees, who received their last salary on April 8 and 150 KM at the beginning of May. Since then, not a single mark has been paid to them.

For Tuesday, May 28, the BHRT Trade Union has announced a protest rally in the BHRT building.

The BHRT Management Board has again sent an invitation to RTV FBiH to reach an agreement on the distribution of collected RTV fees, which are held in the account of Elektroprivreda BiH. BHRT requests to be paid 50 percent of the collected fees, and RTV FBiH 25 percent.

On May 8, BHRT interrupted services for RTV FBiH, broadcasting only news and the main news program, and the Municipal Court in Sarajevo issued an urgent temporary measure ordering BHRT to enable their signal.

After that, RTV FBiH filed criminal charges against the management and members of the BHRT Supervisory Board.
