
(Patria) - In the locality of the village of Šahbegovići, in the municipality of Sokolac, an exhumation was carried out during which skeletal remains of one person were found.
According to available information, it is likely the remains of a victim of Bosniak nationality, who disappeared in 1992. The identity of the missing person will be determined by DNA analysis of the found remains. The exhumation process in the field was led by an investigator from the Special Department for War Crimes of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, and representatives of the BiH Institute for Missing Persons, the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) in BiH, a forensic doctor, and police officers from the East Sarajevo Police Department also participated.
After the exhumation, the remains will be sent to the morgue in Goražde for further forensic processing.
