No debate on Škrbić's resignation at BiH Presidency session

BiH Ambassador to Serbia Ranko Škrbić submitted his resignation from this position, to which he was appointed 18 months ago, but no special debate was held on the matter at today's session of the BiH Presidency.

This was confirmed by BiH Presidency member Bakir Izetbegović.

Škrbić's resignation was accepted, but there was no special discussion about it. That is his individual decision – said Izetbegović.

The explanation of the resignation stated that it was addressed to the Chair of the BiH Presidency Mladen Ivanić due to "substantive and conceptual disagreement with the current policy in BiH."

-       I do not wish to be an exponent of such BiH policy, and even less to implement such a defined foreign policy towards Serbia, and therefore I irrevocably submit my resignation from the position of ambassador – Škrbić stated.

He recalled that his appointment, for the first time to this position since the establishment of bilateral relations between Serbia and BiH, brought a Serb from the Republika Srpska, and that this was and remains the highest honor and recognition for him.
