SARAJEVO, (Patria) – Jasmin Terović, director of the KS Civil Protection, stated that the Civil Protection has been carrying out regular activities to suppress the spread of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours.

“We are also taking in individuals crossing at border crossings and accommodating them at the Bjelave Student Dormitory, where 125 people are staying. Four people are in mandatory isolation,” said Terović.

He added that in the last 24 hours, 77 people were tested in KS, of which 11 were positive.

“There are 22 patients accommodated at the Podhrastovi clinic, two of whom are on ventilators. There are 55 individuals in home isolation, and a total of 1,690 people have been tested in KS, with 92 positive, including re-tests,” said Terović.

Taib Delalić, assistant to the mayor Semir Efendić, addressed the press on behalf of the Novi Grad Civil Protection.

“The Municipality of Novi Grad has put all its resources into preventing or suppressing this pandemic. We have one of the better-equipped civil protections and have provided material and technical support to institutions such as the police, the Gerontology Center, and some shopping malls in the form of masks, gloves, and disinfectants,” said Delalić.

He called on the Civil Protection Staff to allow the opening of hairdressing salons while observing all measures, considering that these are not mass gatherings but scheduled appointments.

“We have many inquiries, and there are 300 salons in the Novi Grad area alone, so if it can be considered to open them, because we have to get haircuts somewhere,” said Delalić.
