A special delegation has come from Barcelona because Mael Vila, an employee of the City Administration, is a recipient of an award from the City of Sarajevo. With Vila, about 90 distinguished citizens from Barcelona, Girona, Lleida, and other cities from Catalonia have come to Sarajevo; they have directly and indirectly participated in assisting the citizens of Sarajevo during its siege from 1992-1995 and its reconstruction from 1996 to the present day.
