(Patria) - The second day of Ramadan Bayram is the Day of Martyrs, and it was observed with a ceremonial program at the Kovači Martyrs' Cemetery, where numerous delegations paid tribute to the first President of the Presidency of BiH Alija Izetbegović and all the martyrs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bayram is a joy for every Muslim, the entire Muslim community, and the whole world. However, on the second day of Ramadan Bayram, Muslims in BiH remember a large number of those who are no longer among the living, those who lost their lives during the aggression against BiH from 1992 to 1995.
The Day of Martyrs is a day of remembrance for all those who, through their brave deeds and nobility in the defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, rose to become the brightest examples of fighters for justice, truth, and dignity.
The Day of Martyrs in BiH was established by a decision of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community in BiH on January 23, 1995.
