Long queues at BiH exits: See which border crossings to avoid

(Patria) - On the first day of the weekend, roads in Bosnia and Herzegovina are mostly passable, without major delays or difficult traffic, allowing smooth vehicle movement in most of the country. Increased passenger traffic is expected in urban areas, as well as on main roads leading from the interior to the south and north of our country.

At locations where works are underway, long queues often form in both directions, which can extend travel time. We advise you to plan your trip in advance, taking into account road conditions and possible delays. We especially urge drivers to respect the posted signage, adhere to speed limits, and always use seat belts.

Works are currently underway on the main roads: Semizovac-Olovo, Jablanica-Prozor (Mirci), Ustikolina-Goražde (Mravinjac), Sarajevo-Pale, Vrhpolje-Ključ, and Bijeljina-Šepak (in Janja).

We remind you that traffic for all vehicles up to 3.5 tons of total mass is allowed on the main road Jablanica-Blidinje.

Due to works at the "Ćatići" railway crossing, the section of the regional road R-445 Kakanj-Visoko will be closed to traffic today from 08:00 to 20:00. During this closure, traffic will be rerouted to the A-1 highway.

There is a long queue of vehicles at the exits from Bosnia and Herzegovina at the border crossings: Izačić, Velika Kladuša, Gradina, Gradiška, K.Dubica, Orašje, Hum, Deleuša, Zupci, Ivanica, and Doljani. At other border crossings, passenger vehicle traffic is occasionally increasing, but for now, waiting times do not exceed 30 minutes. The Brčko border crossing is open for passenger vehicles up to 3.5 tons.
