Siniša Karan, the SNSD candidate, is the winner of the repeat election and the new president of the Bosnian entity of Republika Srpska.
According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission of BiH, after all polling stations were processed, Karan won a total of 224,384 votes, or 50.54 percent of the votes. SDS candidate Branko Blanuša won 213,513 votes, or 48.09 percent.
A total of 452,219 voters turned out for the repeat election for President of Republika Srpska, which is 49.51 percent of the total number of citizens with the right to vote. According to the voter list, 812,147 voters did not turn out for the election.
