Day of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina marked at Ivan Sedlo, construction of the 'Ljiljan' monument announced

(Patria) - The Patriotska liga Association of the Hadžići municipality marked the Day of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina at Ivan Sedlo today, emphasizing that it is a bulwark of freedom and a sacred place that cannot be sold.

Gathered veterans and association members, under the flags of Bosnia and Herzegovina, evoked memories of an honorable and heroic struggle through appropriate addresses.

Those present stated that Ivan Sedlo represents more than geography; it is a historical gateway to survival.

They recalled that from 1941 to 1945, Ivan Sedlo was the scene of the anti-fascist struggle, a place where, as they stated, evil was broken.

Half a century later, in 1992 and 1993, the same elevation became the heart of the defense of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It was emphasized that the liberation of Ivan Sedlo meant life, as it opened the only life-saving road communication connecting heroic Sarajevo with central Bosnia.

During the addresses, the importance of the Bradina Barracks was particularly highlighted, about which they stated that little is spoken loudly today.

In Bradina, a Training and Recruitment Center (NRC) was formed, through which nine classes and several thousand beardless youths passed.

According to the speakers, the youths learned from capable instructors and professors who imparted knowledge on how to love and defend the homeland.

It was pointed out that Bradina was so safe and unconquerable that the helipad was located there. It was the only safe point from which the highest political and military delegations of the RBiH came and went.



The free territory was then protected by an inviolable anti-aircraft defense (PVO) ring, shielding it from enemy aviation.

Today's gathering at one of the PVO points from which power was defied was used to symbolically mark the beginning of the realization of the 'Ljiljan' monument construction project.

The organizers emphasized that the monument, in its preparatory phase, has the unconditional support of 43 veteran associations from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

They stated that it is not just a structure, but a sacred place dedicated to every defender, every martyr, and every fallen soldier of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A clear message was also sent from Ivan Sedlo that the fighters remain at Ivan Sedlo and that, as they stated, various suspicious projects hiding behind false 'paths to salvation' over the backs of those who defended the country will not pass.

The Association also emphasized that the construction of the monument is a litmus test for patriotism today.

They added that political parties that stand with the fighters in the construction of 'Ljiljan' prove that they respect the foundations of the state, while those who calculate, remain silent, and obstruct are not with the fighters and have no right to speak of love for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

From this elevation important to the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, messages of peace, unity, and hope for a better future were sent, with an emphasis on the importance of preserving the culture of remembrance.

It was also stated that the heroic deeds of the Army of the RBiH must not be forgotten and that the homeland is defended with remembrance and respect for heroes.

The Patriotska liga Association of the Hadžići municipality extended its sincerest congratulations on the Day of the Army of RBiH to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially to the citizens of the heroic municipalities of Hadžići and Konjic.

The gathering concluded with the message: We move forward, to victory!

Along with the congratulations for the Day of the Army of RBiH, Member of the Parliament of the Sarajevo Canton (KS) Jasmin Šaljić (SBiH) informed the public that we are one step closer to the construction of the impressive state monument 'Ljiljan' at Ivan Sedlo.

"We have initiated the processes, and 43 veteran associations from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina stand behind this project," Šaljić stated in a brief post on his Facebook profile.
