Ilidža: Driver hits police officer with vehicle and flees

(Patria) - This morning around 03:10, police officers of the Ilidža Police Department, during a regular traffic control in Kasindolska Street, attempted to stop the driver of a VW Passat vehicle.

The driver of this vehicle ignored the lawful order of the police officer, did not stop, and hit the police officer with the vehicle, throwing him onto the roadway.

The police officer sustained minor injuries at the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo (KCUS).

The vehicle in question was found in the Novi Grad municipality, and later two minors were apprehended, who are suspected of being connected to the commission of this criminal offense. They are currently in the official premises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton Police Administration.

An investigation was conducted under the instructions of the prosecutor from the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo, and the event was classified as an Attack on an official person in the performance of security duties.
