Ninth anniversary of Dženan Memić's death marked in Ilidža

(Patria) - The ninth anniversary of Dženan Memić's death was marked today in Ilidža's Velika aleja.

Dženan's family and friends laid flowers, recited Fatiha, and called on the relevant institutions to finally resolve the case and arrest the killers.

His sister Arijana Memić thanked all citizens who have supported the family over the years in their efforts to find the killer and ensure adequate punishment.

- I hoped and believed that on this anniversary I would tell you about him, what he was like, even though most of those gathered here know what he was like.

I hoped to tell you that his killers, accomplices, those who covered up this murder for nine years, are in the courtroom, but that hope was taken from me by the latest decision of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to suspend the investigation, I can freely say against the main cover-up artists of Dženan's murder.

The Federal Police Administration (FUP) may have taken over the murder investigation now, but I truly no longer believe it, when they say, this doesn't happen anywhere in the world. It does in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I live in fear of a state that protected my brother's killers, who took my brother from me, I live in fear that this very state will take my father from me too - said Arijana.

Dženan's father Muriz told those gathered "that this state betrayed him, but they did not betray him."

- I haven't finished the battle, and the state doesn't want to finish it. At the last meeting at the Prosecutor's Office of BiH, Ifet (Feraget) and I expected an indictment, they informed us that the investigation against the main actors is being suspended. They are now more important than the killers themselves.

I have repeated several times that I can find the killers today or tomorrow, but the main culprits must answer. Politics deals with me, not I with politics.

Thank you to the people from politics who helped, and there are those who hindered. My wish was for this to end legally, for Ifet's sake - Muriz emphasized.

He stresses that the Prosecutor's Office had more than enough evidence, reports Faktor.

- You cannot cooperate with the MUP of the Sarajevo Canton, which hid the killers. I will not change my mind.

I said it must end, for my sake and for the sake of all other children. I will not leave this world defeated - added Muriz Memić.
