(Patria) - On the occasion of the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the “Educos” Foundation, in cooperation with KJP "Sarajevo-šume" d.o.o. Sarajevo, organized a successful “Plant a Tree” campaign on Mount Igman.
From the youngest to the oldest, 128 volunteers gathered to jointly contribute to the preservation of the natural beauty of Igman and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The campaign was organized yesterday on Mount Igman. Volunteers planted 500 spruce seedlings. In addition to planting, a barbecue and tea were organized for the participants.
The director of the “Educos” Foundation, Hasib Gabeljić, emphasized the importance of such campaigns for the preservation of forests and biodiversity.
From "Educos", they thanked KJP „Sarajevo-šume“ d.o.o. Sarajevo and all the volunteers who responded to the call.
Such campaigns are of exceptional importance for our city, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and future generations.
This year, the following partners took part in the tree planting campaign: JRS BiH, Elementary School "Isak Samokovlija", and Elementary School "Vrhbosna".
The tree planting campaign is part of a broader program of the “Educos” Foundation focused on education about the importance of environmental preservation and the promotion of sustainable development.
