Car overturns on highway near Ilijaš, driver killed, three injured

(Patria) - At 8:10 PM, on the A1 highway Podlugovi - Visoko, in the Ilijaš area, a traffic accident occurred in which one person died, confirmed by the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton.

One vehicle was involved in this accident, which, for currently unknown reasons, hit the protective barrier and overturned.

The vehicle was driven by H.H. from Visoko, who died at the scene of the accident.

Three people, passengers from this vehicle, are being transported to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.

The prosecutor has been notified, and police officers are on the scene.

Traffic is moving in one lane, and drivers are advised to exercise increased caution.

The Police Administration later announced that the body of the deceased driver H.H. (1965) was transported to the morgue.

The front passenger A.A. (1994) has severe, life-threatening bodily injuries and has been admitted to the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.

Passengers N.B. (1985) and Dž.S. (2004) sustained minor bodily injuries.

An investigation was conducted by members of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, with the presence of an expert.

Traffic will be fully normalized once the road cleaning is completed.
