(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's best skier Elvedina Muzaferija has earned her first points in this season's World Cup.
In the downhill race in Italy's Cortina d'Ampezzo, Muzaferija finished in 25th place, thus breaking the ice with World Cup points, which will surely boost her confidence for upcoming races. Muzaferija shared the 25th position with France's Caren Klement.
The winner of today's race was surprisingly Ragnhild Mowinckel from Norway, for whom this is her first downhill triumph and fourth career victory.
Jacqueline Willes was second, and the podium was completed by home skier Sofia Goggia.
In today's downhill, 45 competitors started, and with many withdrawals, the race concluded after more than two and a half hours of competition. This also happened due to an interruption, leaving two competitors without the opportunity to descend the slope.
