(Patria) - This is a definitive full stop to the story about the downfall of the Una-Sana Canton (USK) Government, led by the Party of Democratic Action (SDA).
This is the first reaction from the president of the Cantonal Organization (KO) SDA USK, Jasmin Musić, after a mini-reconstruction of the USK Government was carried out at this evening's extraordinary session of the USK Assembly, now also strengthened by the Democratic Front (DF).
To recall, the USK Assembly dismissed Mehmed Ćenanović (SDA) from the position of Minister of Agriculture, Water Management, and Forestry, and appointed Edvin Alijanović (DF) to his post.
For both of these decisions, proposed by the Prime Minister of USK Nijaz Hušić (SDA), 18 deputies voted, while 12 did not even attend the session.
- The situation here in the past few days was such that the change of the Government led by SDA was announced. Since that did not happen, we, as a serious party leading the canton, convened an extraordinary session for this evening at the level of our bodies and in cooperation with the Caucus of Deputies.
We tested the support we have in the USK Assembly and offered the dismissal of our minister Ćenanović and the appointment of Mr. Alijanović from DF.
I am pleased that, in addition to the deputies of the current parliamentary majority, i.e., our partners, the Democratic Front has now joined us - Musić told Patria.
He points out that the number of deputies who supported Prime Minister Hušić's proposals this evening was 18, but that this figure might be even higher in the coming days.
- The USK Government is stable. I think this is a full stop to all the talk about its possible downfall - Musić emphasized.
He assesses that it is completely legitimate for the People's European Alliance (NES) to have aimed to change the USK Government, given that it is an opposition party. This motive, intention, and ambition are understandable, but they did not yield results.
- The impression is that the USK Government was their focus. Whether they are in a position to be part of the government at higher levels, I would really not comment on that because the party to which I proudly belong - SDA is not in power at the federal or state level, nor does it wish to be in this situation and under these circumstances - states Musić.
According to him, this evening's extraordinary session of the USK Assembly aimed to objectify the policy that wishes for USK to continue on the path it is currently on.
- And that is the path of stability, responsibility, and visible results of the USK Government, led by SDA with its partners - these are Musić's words.
Given that it was an extraordinary session, he points out that he did not even expect all deputies to respond.
- So, those who are not part of this story did not show up tonight because they simply had no answer to this situation - Musić concluded in his conversation with Patria.
