Musić: I have successfully performed tasks for ten years, and I will continue to do so if I become the mayor of Ključ

(Patria) - For ten years, Jasmin Musić woke up in Ključ and commuted to his workplace in Bihać, specifically to cantonal institutions.

In an interview with the Patria Agency, Musić, as the SDA candidate for the mayor of Ključ, says that it is good to work at the cantonal level, but that there is also a lot of politics involved. From the position of mayor, or the head of the local community, he adds, one can work much more concretely and help the community.

We conducted the interview at the site of the Old Town of Ključ, the last refuge of the last Bosnian King Stjepan Tomašević.

“We are proud to have a symbol of the medieval Bosnian state, but unfortunately, this is the place where that state ceased to exist,” Musić points out and adds: This is a site that can enrich Ključ's tourist offer, and we will certainly work on branding the Old Town”.

As he says, Ključ has an interesting and uncertain race for mayor, and he states that he has a positive opinion of his opponents, but the question is how much each can give.

“I think this city would benefit from a change. Nedžad Zukanović (SDP) is already in his third term and has said himself that he is tired, he even considered whether to run. I think he has given enough. On the other hand, there is my colleague Azhar Sejarić (NiP), who has a good education, but I think my impression is that it is too early for him,” Musić points out.

He assures that he will respect the citizens' choice, and if he is elected, he promises to respond to all tasks with quality, as he has done so far.

“I ask for the support of my fellow citizens because I am ready and I know how to lead processes in this city. At the same time, I promise that there will be no revenge politics, that no one will be persecuted because there are few of us left anyway. The essence is to try to create a better living environment together,” Musić emphasizes.

He adds that Ključ faces many challenges.

“Ključ, if I receive support, will get a quality industrial zone, a sports hall that we have been waiting for since the war, and quality infrastructure,” states Musić.

Musić entered the heart of the Una-Sana Canton politics at the age of 23 and says that this job has marked his every day for the past 10 years.

“I feel like I have satisfied myself first. I helped people, built good relationships with other parties and policies, I think I have mostly done my tasks well. But, we should not talk about the past, but about the future and steps forward. I think this city has potential and I will do everything to make life here more sustainable,” says Musić.

He reminds that so far in campaigns, we have mostly talked about how to employ young people.

“I think it's different now, but the question is the quality of those jobs, the salary level, and other employment rights. Unfortunately, in Ključ, we have a situation where 50 to 100 young people from Ključ leave for neighboring towns. That's why we need an industrial zone to offer better jobs,” explains Musić and says that everyone needs positive encouragement.
