Musa: We have local transmissions in all cantons

(Patria) - Sanjin Musa, a member of the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health and head of the Epidemiology Service of the Public Health Institute of the FBiH, stated that the data indicate an increasing number of tests, with around 400 tests performed daily. He said that the FBiH has 51 epidemiologists and 68 infectologists.

"We have local transmissions in all cantons. The virus is present and circulating among the population. The situation, as seen from the data published daily, is changing. From the beginning of March, when we started testing and isolating the first imported contacts and tracking their contacts, to the current situation where we have an increasing number of identified confirmed cases outside existing transmission chains, it speaks of accelerated spread, which was related to this disease," said Musa.

Speaking about the mode of virus transmission besides droplet, he noted that the virus is also transmitted through contact, which makes it even faster.

He states that the virus is present and circulating among the population.

"We want to illuminate areas to see if the virus is there and to what extent, so that we can take adequate measures further. What we must note is that in addition to the tests we are currently using, we will also start with serological tests, our goal is to get an additional picture to see which patients had mild symptoms and which had severe ones," said Musa.
