SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Since 2005, the last week of April has been marked as Immunization Week, and here I would again point out the importance of immunization, especially for children, announced at the press conference by Sanjin Musa, a member of the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health and Head of the Epidemiology Service of the Public Health Institute of FBiH.
"We see the effects of immunization, and it is basic healthcare. Immunization represents a reduction of the burden on the healthcare system," said Musa.
Musa explained that confirmed cases are those in whom the virus has been detected by laboratory tests, and suspected cases are identified through clinical presentation.
Regarding the procurement of ventilators from China and the participation of the Public Health Institute in that process, Musa said: "The Institute only participated in data preparation and communication with healthcare institutions."
