(Patria) - Following initial reactions, RS entity police forces withdrew from the administrative line between the two entities in the Doboj area and ceased traffic controls.
As confirmed to Politicki.ba by Amir Hurtić, a representative in the RS National Assembly for the BH Zeleni party, founded in Doboj, it is true that this morning at the entrance to Doboj from the direction of Tešanj, and exits from this city towards Gračanica, police forces, armed with long barrels, were deployed and controlled traffic.
He conveyed that the gendarmerie units soon withdrew and the controls ceased.
"Unfortunately, this is not the first time we have had such provocations on our holiday. We who have decided to return to the smaller BH entity celebrate this day as a holiday that symbolizes courage, determination, and our will to return to our homes. We do not accept any divisions. If we had accepted them, we would not have returned to the place where we experienced genocide. We will not respond to provocations with hatred, but as always, by celebrating a great historical date," Hurtić told Politicki.ba.
He emphasizes that March 1st "should be inscribed in large, golden letters, so that we teach our children the values of this day".
"We regret that in the RS entity they want to rewrite history. And we will continue to respect and preserve the truth and fight for it," Hurtić stated.
In the RS National Assembly, he acts together with Ramiz Salkić, an SDA representative. The other three representatives of the former For Homeland coalition have their own club.
"It saddens me that the people representing the government in Bosnia and Herzegovina, that Trojka, do not care much about us, fight weakly for returnees, and appear quite powerless. And as many of us as there are in the RS National Assembly, we fight for the rights of the Bosniak people. But we are alone," Hurtić complained in a conversation with Politicki.ba.
He is outraged by the fact that "people elected by Bosniak votes in the RS National Assembly behave as if they are deaf and mute".
Asked if he meant the three SDP representatives, he answered affirmatively.
"Look how many times they have spoken in the RS National Assembly since it was constituted after the elections of October 5, 2022. Look how many times, in the benches of the RS National Assembly, these representatives have mentioned Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Bosniak people, their language, their fundamental human rights which are violated daily and Bosniak returnees are constantly targeted. They are deaf and mute to all of this," said Hurtić.
He reiterated that this day will also be celebrated in Bosniak communities in the smaller BH entity.
