MUP KS: What you need to do when you lose a personal document

In case you lose your ID card, passport, driver's license, traffic permit, gun license, the first thing you need to do is report it to the police in the place of loss, and the police will issue you a confirmation of the fact of loss, disappearance or theft of the document, after which the citizen, at their own expense, declares the document invalid in the Official Gazette, writes the BH News Agency Patria.

After declaring the document invalid, the next step is to submit a request for the issuance of a duplicate or new document(s) at your place of residence.

However, in case you find the documents later, you are obliged to immediately return the documents to the competent police service that issued you the duplicate.
