KS Ministry of Interior: Large quantity of narcotic drugs found and several persons arrested

Members of the KS Ministry of Interior arrested several persons yesterday, reports the Patria News Agency.

Working on documenting the criminal activities of members of an organized criminal group established for the commission of criminal offenses of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo, searches were conducted in Ilidža on the following individuals: N.N., born in 1989 in Trebinje, residing in Bileća, G.J., born in 1964 in Metković, residing in Trebinje, I.A., born in 1985 in Bileća where he resides, A.S., born in 1994 in Slap, residing in Sarajevo, A.F., born in 1960 in Slap, residing in Sarajevo, and S.J., born in 1987 in Sarajevo, where he resides, as well as searches of vehicles used by some members of the aforementioned group. During the searches, the following were found and seized:

- from N.N., two mobile phones and a certain amount of money most likely originating from the sale of narcotic drugs,

- from G.J., approximately 10 kilograms of a plant substance resembling the narcotic drug marijuana (16 packages), one mobile phone, and a certain amount of money most likely originating from the sale of narcotic drugs,

- from I.A., two mobile phones and a certain amount of money most likely originating from the sale of narcotic drugs,

- from S.J., one mobile phone and a certain amount of money most likely originating from the sale of narcotic drugs,

- from A.F., approximately one kilogram of a plant substance resembling the narcotic drug marijuana,

- The prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo was informed about the above, and N.N., G.J., I.A., and S.J. were deprived of their liberty due to grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense under Article 238, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs). After the criminal investigation is completed, N.N., G.J., I.A., and S.J. will be handed over to the jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office in Sarajevo along with a report on the committed criminal offense. After the hearing, by order of the prosecutor, A.F. was released from official premises, while A.S. is on the run and is being intensively searched for – stated the KS Ministry of Interior.
