KS Ministry of Interior and Schools Together for Greater Student Protection

On the occasion of the start of the new school year in KS, the Ministry of Interior of KS announced that competent organizational units of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton are undertaking all necessary measures and actions with the aim of ensuring the safety of all traffic participants, especially students, and measures to promptly sanction all illegal and irresponsible behavior of traffic participants, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

Adequate measures are also being taken to prevent disturbances of public order and peace, and the commission of criminal offenses. In this regard, special emphasis is placed on the prevention of criminal offenses such as fights, and the snatching of money, mobile phones, and other items from students. In this sense, contacts have been established with the management of primary and secondary schools in the Canton, and those responsible in these institutions have been informed about the measures taken.

At the same time, a series of joint activities have been agreed upon to create all the necessary conditions for the smooth running of the educational process.

The Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton therefore, once again, appeals and requests all traffic participants to increase their level of caution while driving, as there will certainly be a significantly increased number of pedestrians as traffic participants, especially schoolchildren, who must be paid special attention to prevent any potential undesirable situations.

It has been agreed with the principals of primary schools that, as in previous years, through the implementation of the project "Police in the Community", starting immediately with the new school year, the topic "Children in Traffic" will be addressed, continuing the education of children, especially "first-graders", in the area of traffic safety, and thus improving the state of traffic safety, as a very important segment of the life of our social community.
