MUP KS granted permit to associations from RS for rally in support of Dodik, decision from Ministry of Transport pending

(Patria) - The Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton stated that the rally in support of the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and acting director of the Official Gazette Miloš Lukić in Sarajevo can be held, but that the organizer needs to obtain a permit from the Ministry of Transport for traffic suspension in that part of the city, confirmed for RTRS the President of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Đorđe Radanović.

He pointed out that the request of the MUP of Sarajevo Canton for 80 security personnel to be provided is problematic.

– We are hindered in the part related to security workers from Republika Srpska. They do not allow security agencies from RS to operate in the territory of the Canton, only cantonal agencies – Radanović emphasized.

He stated that, regardless of all this, maximum effort will be made to meet the requirements of the cantonal MUP.

– We will submit our planned route to the MUP. Regardless of speculation in federal media, a peaceful gathering of Serbs will be held on Friday, September 1, at 6:00 PM. We want to express democratic will and say that we want to live in peace, but at the same time we disagree with the actions of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Radanović stressed, adding that the organizers have support from people across RS and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Radanović submitted the request to the Ministry of Transport yesterday.

We remind you, Radanović submitted on Thursday, August 24, a request for holding a peaceful gathering on Friday, September 1, in front of the building of the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the political indictment against the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the acting director of the Official Gazette of Srpska Miloš Lukić.

The Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed an indictment on August 11 against Dodik and Lukić for disregarding the decisions of Christian Schmidt.
