The Management Board (MB) of the Police Union in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNC) has made a decision to launch initiatives for social dialogue, regarding the labor-legal and social status of employees in the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of HNC, announced from this union, reports the Patria agency.
In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister of HNC, Nevenko Herceg, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Slađan Bevanda, the organization of social dialogue with them as employers is requested.
- The reasons are known, and particularly relate to the realization of claims based on final court decisions, staff shortages, objections to the respect of procedures during recruitment, as well as the announcement of the new Law on PIO/MIO, whose adoption would lead to additional, unplanned retirement of police officers upon personal request, based on the registration of so-called war service - the statement reads.
From the union, they state that the mentioned reasons “could have implications for the state of general security”, and believe that it would be good “to jointly seek solutions that are in the interest of all”.
