(Patria) - The fact that Aleksandar Vučić supported the meeting speaks volumes about him. These are not representatives of Bosniaks. Legitimate representation of Bosniaks has been bypassed. If all parties had attended, and thank God they didn't, it would have legitimized a policy led by Konaković, which has disenfranchised Bosniaks. These are fringe politicians seeking their space – Professor Jahja Muhasilović told Hayat, commenting on the meeting of regional Bosniak political leaders organized in Sarajevo by the president of the People and Justice party, Elmedin Konaković.
"Konaković, as the organizer of today's meeting, is most responsible for the elimination of the Bosniak electoral will. Even if those who represent the political will of Bosniaks had attended the meeting, it would have been a problem," Muhasilović adds.
Muhasilović questions why the Reis-ul-ulema of the Islamic Community in BiH, Husein ef. Kavazović, and the BiH Presidency Chairman, Denis Bećirović, who represent the political will of Bosniaks, were not at the meeting.
According to him, it is no coincidence that the highest turnout at Konaković's meeting was from Sandžak and the Cazinska Krajina region. "This is an area where various intelligence services, primarily from Serbia and Croatia, have been targeting politicians from Krajina and Sandžak for a long time."
He recalled that at similar gatherings of Serbs in the region, 3 to 4 representatives of Serbian politics attend along with the Patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, while today's meeting presented a completely opposite scenario.
Muhasilović also noted that leaders representing approximately 170,000 Bosniak votes in the region attended today's meeting, while parties with the support of over 400,000 Bosniaks remained outside the gathering. He also emphasized that today's meeting in Ilidža was hasty and served the interests of Serbian politics.
"After this fiasco and degradation of the meeting, the question is whether anyone will dare to do anything similar again. Konaković has now allied himself with Serbian politics," stated Muhasilović.
He also commented on the announced UN Resolution on Srebrenica. Dodik and Vučić have their theories and are trying with all their might to obstruct the adoption of this document.
"UN General Assembly resolutions are not binding. If it is adopted, it will only be moral support. We cannot rely on it. They are threatening from Belgrade that they will cause conflicts in the Balkans so that the international community will give them something in return. I fear that with this, they are targeting state property," said Muhasilović.
