Muhasilović: Pro-Croatian current among Bosniaks leads to feudalization of Bosnia and a third entity

(Patria) - The Association of Independent Intellectuals Krug 99 held its regular Sunday session in Sarajevo on the topic "Croatian flowers still fighting for others' interests".

The presenter was Professor Jahja Muhasilović from the International University of Sarajevo (IUS).

Muhasilović meticulously dissected and analyzed one of the most dangerous and paradoxical ideological phenomena that has emerged in Bosniak political life in recent decades.

Through a thorough historical overview, he showed the roots, mechanisms of action, and long-term harmful consequences of this phenomenon for Bosniak political subjectivity, the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and overall state integrity.

- In the Bosniak political space in recent decades, a group has emerged that calls itself "conservative" and "nationally aware," and which acts as a subcontractor for policies that push Bosniaks and Bosnia and Herzegovina under the patronage of Croatia.

This is a "pro-Croatian" current within the Bosniak conservative body that shifts the center of politics from Sarajevo to Zagreb, promoting HDZ as a natural ally and Croats as "older brothers" - states Muhasilović.

As he stated, the source of this phenomenon lies in the Zagreb Bosniak community, which has internalized the Tuđmanist mentality of a "younger brother".

- Today, this approach influences parts of conservative Bosniak circles, who believe that the path to the EU and NATO leads exclusively through Zagreb, ignoring the sovereignty of BiH and the opportunity for Bosniaks to independently shape their political course, and forgetting the fact that BiH is an independent state.

The key problem is historical amnesia: selective erasure of 1993, Ahmići, Stupni Dol, Heliodrom, Dretelj, the Joint Criminal Enterprise (JCE), and the agreement from Karađorđevo, along with the abuse of the image of Alija Izetbegović.

This current sharply attacks Željko Komšić and a civic state, advocating for consociational democracy according to the HDZ model, thereby contributing to the feudalization of Bosnia and the preparation of a third entity.

Instead of a sovereignist policy on an equal footing, they offer a vassal relationship with Zagreb, acting as useful idiots of Greater Croatian policy. In doing so, they are leading Bosniaks into new political "Dreteljs," not to Europe - emphasized Muhasilović.

Furthermore, during his address at the Krug 99 session, he subjected this phenomenon to detailed analysis and historical dissection so that the public would clearly understand the depth and danger of this ideological deviation that threatens to reduce the Bosniak political subject to the level of a tribal group under foreign patronage.
