Mahathir Mohamad opens mosque in Vlakovo, to receive Islamic Community award

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad is on a multi-day visit to BiH, and yesterday he opened the "Ibrahim Bukvić" mosque in Vlakovo in the presence of the Rais al-Ulama of the Islamic Community of BiH Husein ef. Kavazović, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Numerous citizens attended the opening of the mosque, and a special program was organized.

Mahathir will today be presented with the Islamic Community's Decoration for special contribution to the general development of the community and the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Gazi Husrev-beg Library.

Today, Mahathir is also attending the International Peace Conference "Twenty Years of Peace – The Way Forward" organized by the Perdana Global Peace Foundation (PGPF).
