An adequate isolation facility must be found and infectologists sent to Konjic

(Patria) - Given the difficult COVID-19 pandemic situation in Konjic, and the fact that only a small isolation facility is being prepared in the Konjic motel, which according to the opinion of health workers is not adequate, and only a small number of junior specialists have been sent to perform this task, the DF proposes that the Ministry of Health of the FBiH, the Crisis Staff of the FBiH, and the Institute for Public Health, in coordination with cantonal ministries of health, form and send a team of infectologists and epidemiologists to Konjic, who are lacking in Konjic's health institutions.

"Solidarity with the health workers in Konjic, which is the most endangered city in the FBiH, is now urgently needed, and we believe that the appeals of health workers in Konjic for the help they need must finally be heeded.

The Mayor of Konjic Municipality, Emir Bubalo, and local authorities must try to find space for adequate isolation facilities, given that the isolation facility in the Konjic motel is insufficient and barely suitable for admitting patients who would have to be accommodated due to an increase in the number of infected people. We once again call on the Government of HNK to allocate appropriate funds to help Konjic in the fight against coronavirus, because the allocation for Konjic so far has been in an amount that is humiliating for the citizens of Konjic who fill the HNK budget, not the budget of the City of Zagreb," it was announced.
