Mogherini and Hahn: BiH authorities must work together to move closer to the EU

Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, and Johannes Hahn, EU Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, on the occasion of the formation of the Council of Ministers of BiH and the Government of FBiH, stated that this will open the way for new authorities at all levels to start solving the real problems faced by the citizens of BiH, especially the problem of high unemployment.

- The new authorities at the state and entity levels will play a key role, in accordance with their competencies, in formulating and implementing reform programs based on the joint declaration adopted by the BiH Parliament in February.

The authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina must now work together to take the concrete steps needed to bring the country closer to the European Union. In these efforts, the BiH authorities can count on the support of the European Union - it is stated.
