IT COULD HAVE BEEN DRljaČA Milićević's right to arbitrary action has been revoked by decree, there is no transfer of authority!

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Jelka Milićević (HDZ), Minister of Finance in the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Commander of the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters, after the appointment of the new Headquarters and the explanation that the previous convocation "did not respond to tasks such as the procurement of medical equipment", issued a public statement claiming that she did not obstruct anything.

According to reliable sources from the Government of the Federation of BiH, and to make it clear to everyone in the public, the following happened. For three full days, Milićević did not put the item regarding the procurement of tests, protective suits for doctors, and masks on the agenda of the session.

She justified such behavior by saying she didn't know if that much was needed, why, etc. Then, the HDZ was simply outvoted, but in such a way that the decree stated that the commander is obliged to convene a session, and besides the Commander of the Headquarters, if he cannot, the session can also be convened by the Director of the Federal Civil Protection, i.e. Fahrudin Solak.

Therefore, it is not a matter of any dismissal, but of revoking a monopoly. Although the HDZ called such an act "a transfer of authority", it is evident that this is not the case.

Otherwise, in accordance with the law, the commander of the Federal Civil Protection Headquarters is one of the deputy prime ministers, which could have been Vesko Drljača instead of Jelka. However, it was agreed upon in the FBiH Government, so the story about authorities does not hold at this moment.

Prime Minister Fadil Novalić also clarified that no one was dismissed, but that the Headquarters was reorganized.

"This is not a political issue at all. There are only technical issues, and that is the end of all possible politicization. The Headquarters has been reorganized to be more functional," said Novalić.
